I had been reading the second book in a series that heavily supported The Course in Miracles. I found it highly repetitive, like brainwashing, but for the purpose of drilling in the hard to accept material. Being an open minded person, I could rationalize most of its contents. However, my doubting mind was still at work when I went to bed.
I could sense the presence of spirits around me by the light activity going on in my internal vision. So, I asked the question, “Is there any validity to the material that is within that book?”
Suddenly a nickel was thrust forward, then receded, several times in a row. I could see a head on the face of the nickel and quickly thought it was George Washington. “I cannot tell a lie,” ran through my mind, and then I corrected my thoughts to say, “No, George Washington is on the quarter.”
In the morning I searched for a nickel and found the face of Thomas Jefferson and the word liberty. He was noted for The Declaration of Independence. “Oh,” I surmised, “It is up to the individual as to what he or she chooses to believe. We have that liberty.”
